Olga Basha jeans are made in two fabrics. The first is dark indigo hemp and organic cotton denim fabric from the Japanese mill Mikutex. It’s a small mill and one of the best in Osaka. The second is lighter blue Foxfibre Colorganic cotton grown in California by Sally Fox and milled at Taishobo. Although Sally’s cotton has a similar feel to your classic cotton denim, it is a different breed that requires less water and helps regenerate the soil. Both are dyed and woven expertly in Japan. My friends at Seven & L cut and sew the jeans in NYC’s garment district. The buttons are from RIRI in Switzerland.
